Munnar Hill Station in Kerala

Munnar owes its character almost wholly to the British, who turned this stopover on the way to the Kannan Devan hills into the popular summer resort. Considered as one of the most beautiful hills station in India, Munnar is situated at the distance of 1600 M above sea level, at the confluence of three mountain streams - Nallathanni, Mudrapuzha, and Kundala. Munnar is the prince of tea. The smell of tea that carpet the hills lingers in the air long after you have taken the last turn into Munnar. If you wish to experience the lure of tea gardens, the walk will do good. The pleasing aroma of Tea fields will be worth refreshing you. You get the chance to meet the enchant with the tea workers, watch how the tea is being plucked and learn how it is being processed in the manufacturing units. If you want you can also take the packets of fresh tea back to home.

Cycling Trips :

Hire a cycle to enjoy the beauty of the lavish lush green tea gardens, spread over 12000 hectares. Stop at the Munnar Tea Museum, which houses various pieces of old machinery and an exhibition of photos of the area's tea industry from the 1880s right into the modern era. It remains open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm.

However, don’t get lulled into believing that there’s nothing to do in Munnar. It is also a popular adventure destination. Trekking, paragliding, rope climbing and the recreational facilities available here make Munnar a perfect holiday destination, for those who want to enjoy it’s laid back vibe at the same time like to involve in lot of adventure activities and fun.
