Who Wore Chanel Better?

Who Wore It Better?

Chanel Fall 2011 Dress

In my fashion coverage of the SAG Awards yesterday, you may have remembered seeing British actress Emilia Clarke wear this black and white dress by Chanel. It wasn't the first time we've seen this feathery gown. Zoe Kravitz wore the same dress 2 months earlier.

Left: Emilia Clarke wore the Chanel Fall RTW frock to Sunday's Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles (29 January 2012). The 'Game of Thrones' actress looked charming in the organic cotton and voile dress, which has a fully feathered black skirt. Emilia's dress features a leaf-motif waistband.

Middle: Zoe Kravitz wore the same Chanel dress on the 30th November 2011, to Unicef's Snowflake Ball in New York. She omitted the belt from the sculpted white bodice, which has a high collar and puffy shoulders.

Right: Latvian model Ginta Lapina wears the dress on the Chanel Fall RTW 2011 runway, paired with black lace-up boots and sheer hand gloves. A very girly-grunge look.

Both girls wore their look with a strong red lip colour. You will notice that the black ruffle detailing along the sleeves are different on each dress. Emilia's is tucked in, while Zoe's features an outer ruffled trim. Emilia wore her hair up in a loose upstyle and Zoe kept it clinical in an edgy tied-up bob.

Who Wore It Better?

I prefer the dress with the waistband so my choice is Emilia. She makes it look demure and ladylike. Also, I can't get past Zoe's mullet-fringe hairstyle. What are your thoughts?

Who Wore It Better - Awards Show Edition

Celebrities should know by now that Awards Season is the one time of year when they will be photographed the most and in the public eye. So wearing the same outfit as any other starlet during this short space of time should be carefully avoided. But on occasions when they don't, we have posts like these.

Who Wore Nina Ricci Better?

Left: British beauty Keira Knightley wore this black taffeta and lace Nina Ricci dress to the 'National Board of Review Awards' in New York on 10 January 2012. The dress has a sheer lace paneled bodice with ruched sides. Keira paired it with black tights, black Roger Vivier heels and a quilted black Chanel bag. She kept her hair in waves and wore a reddish lip colour and bright red nails.

Right: Tamara Mowry (from 90's sitcom Sister Sister) wore the dress just a day after Keira at the 'People's Choice Awards' on 11 January. She teamed the flirty black Resort 2012 dress with multi-strap black shoes. Tamara had her hair pulled back and wore large pearl earrings.

My Verdict: I prefer this dress on petite-framed Keira, and because she wore it with matching tights and heels, it gives the look more of a solidity.

Who Wore Paul Ka Better?

Left: Beth Behrs (from the sitcom Two Broke Girls) wore a Paul Ka dress to the 'HBO Golden Globes After Party' on Sunday, 15 January. Her pale shell pink mini has an asymmetrical frill down the bodice. She paired it with gold Giuseppe Zanotti peep toe heels, a sparkly gold clutch and soaring beehive hairdo.

Right: Selena Gomez was the first to wear the dainty dress, last year already at the 2011 'People's Choice Awards' on 5 January 2011. I'm presuming that Beth didn't watch the show. Selena looked pretty pairing it with nude heels by Giuseppe Zanotti, incidentally, and a black clutch. She had her to the side in cascading waves.

My Verdict: Selena 100%. Beth's space-age hair ruined it for me. I liked how Selena's hair mirrored the frill on her dress.

Who Wore Valentino Better?

Left: We just saw Stana Katic at the 'People's Choice Awards' last week (11 January) in a slinky black V-neck Valentino gown. The Castle actress looked stunning in this figure-fitting dress with gathered front and sported side-swept waves.

Right: Ali Larter wore the white version of the dress 3 days later at the 'Art of Elysium Heaven' event in Hollywood. She added turquoise earrings and wore a sleek straight bob.

My Verdict: Although the knotted front detail was more visible on the white gown, I have to go with Stana, simply because the dress fit her impeccably well.

I would love to hear your verdicts:

1. Keira or Tamara?

2. Beth or Selena?

3. Stana or Ali?

Same Dress, Different Shade

Which Marc Jacobs Dress Do You Prefer?

Pink or Blue?

This aqua Marc Jacobs Resort 2012 dress made it's debut on the red carpet earlier this year, worn by the lovely Elle Fanning. 6 months later, Fan Bing Bing wore the same dress, which has been revived in a blushing shade of bubblegum pink. Two very different stars, on two opposite sides of the planet...Who wears it better?

Fan Bing Bing looked radiant at a movie premiere in South Korea this week (13 December). The Asian actress wore the Marc Jacobs sheer tulle dress, which is delicately adorned with a scattering of shaded pink floral appliqués. A red leather belt defined her waist, while sky-high nude Louboutin Mary-Janes were her choice of footwear.

Australian model Julia Nobis displayed the dress as part of Marc Jacobs' Resort 2012 collection. She was styled with a white belt and blue shimmery heels. You can see the transparent effect of the dress is this photograph, whereas the others have been modified for the red carpet.

Elle Fanning wore the dreamy sea blue version of the dress for the 'Women in Film' awards on 16 June in Beverly Hills. The floral motifs on her dress are a lighter shade of blue. Elle left out the belt and added a fun pop of colour with coral Chanel sling-backs.

I prefer (and not because pink is my colour) Fan's dress more. It fits her better and that red belt was a winning choice. Though I'm not too keen on the heavy platforms heels. If Elle had added a belt, it would have made a huge difference. Which version of the Marc Jacobs dress do you prefer, Pink or Blue?

Who Wore Proenza Schouler Better?

Who Wore It Better?
Proenza Schouler Fall 2011 Dress

I first saw this kaleidoscopic jigsaw print Proenza Schouler dress on 6 June this year, when Liv Tyler wore it to the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City. Liv represented the Proenza Schouler fashion brand at the awards show, where the team took home the award for 'Womenswear Designer of the Year'. Five months later, style darling Olivia Palermo was spotted on the streets of NYC wearing the same dress. It's interesting to see that Olivia would wear this dress on a random day out, while Liv savoured it for the red carpet.

Olivia Palermo takes a moment to pose in the puzzle print halter neck dress. She wore a long black coat over it, with ankle boots by Bakers Flare.
Liv Tyler wore the belted dress as it was seen on the catwalk. The folded detail on the front of the dress is more visible on her. She carried a black clutch and stood in strappy heels, both by Proenza Schouler.
Canadian model Kelsey van Mook walked the runway in the multicoloured silk dress, wearing it with black multi-strap sandals.

I prefer this look on Olivia, simply because of her styling. The print and colours are very bold and I think she simmered it down well with the black coat and boots. What are your thoughts?

A Triple Shot of "Who Wore It Better?"

It has been a week of repeats in the land of the famous and fashionable. Six celebrities, three different dresses. Who started the trend and who followed? Let's have a look.

Who Wore Thomas Wylde Better?

Firstly, we have two singing stars wearing the same dress by Thomas Wylde. The black silk dress has a pleated asymmetrical shoulder, decked with matching stones.
Left: X-Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger opted to wear the LBD to the GQ 'Men of the Year' awards last week. She paired it with black peep-toe pumps and a high ponytail.
Right: It was Miley Cyrus who wore the dress first - all the way back in March 2010. The teen actress donned the dress for the premiere of her movie 'The Last Song'. She added Salvatore Ferragamo heels and an updo. Both ladies wore arm jewellery.

My Verdict: I like Nicole in this dress, she fills it out better and the shoulder pleats seem to set better on her.

Who Wore Chagoury Couture Better?

Left: Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere wore this crimson dress with strapless sweetheart necklace by Chagoury Couture on November 17, for the 'Robert Verdi Jewellery' event in New York City. Hayden mixed it up with a black leather biker jacket, a few necklaces and black suede Christian Louboutin boots. She wore her hair up with a slight tease.
Right: Canadian actress Laura Vandervoort first wore the little red cocktail dress in June of this year, to the premiere of the 'Green Lantern' in LA. She elegantly paired it with a nude clutch bag and peep-toe heels. Laura had her hair done in a neat ponytail.

My Verdict: I prefer this dress worn simply, as on Laura.

Who Wore Versace for H&M Better?

Left: Chinese megastar Fan Bingbing adds her own unique twist to this black and gold ensemble by Versace for H&M. She wore it to the 'Chen Man Photography Exhibition' in Shanghai on 23 November. A winged biker Jeremy Scott for Adidas jacket, chauffeur's hat and wide-rimmed glasses complete her look.
Right: We recently saw Jessica Alba wear the same studded top and skirt by Versace for H&M, at the label's launch party on 8 November 2011 in New York. Both ladies opted to wear black tights and heels with their matching outfits.

My Verdict: I have a preference for simplicity this week, so I am choosing Jessica's look as my favourite.

Who do you think wore each of these looks better?

Who Wore Pucci Better?

Who Wore It Better?
Emilio Pucci Spring 2011 dress

Battling it out for today's title of 'Who Wore It Better' is a Brazilian supermodel, an Australian pop veteran and the best thing out of Barbados. The dress in question is a gorgeous cobalt blue, long-sleeved, open-back number by Peter Dundas for Emilio Pucci. The dress is richly embroidered with beads, mirrors, crystals and tassels.

1. Adriana Lima took the dress out for a stroll at the Victoria's Secret after party last week in New York City. The model wore pointy-toe glittery silver pumps and a black bow clutch bag with it.

2. In June 2011, Aphrodite herself, Kylie Minogue wore the mini dress during her 'Les Folies' tour in Brisbane, Australia. The petite songstress paired it with strappy silver heels.

3. Always one to start a trend, Rihanna was the first to wear the dress 7 months before everyone else, in November last year. The singer wore the royal blue dress after the 2010 MTV European Music Awards in Madrid, Spain. Metallic pointy toe heels complete her look.

4. The dress worn on the runway by Russian model Natasha Poly, paired with tan sandals.

This dress has also been popular with fashion editors. It has been seen in several international magazines and it makes sense why - The fit is flawless, the colour is dynamic on any skin tone and with a bit of that sparkle, it truly does catch the eye every time.

From Top Left:

Heather Marks covers Canada's Flare magazine in March 2011. The dress is styled with a chunky gold necklace and colourful earrings.

English actress Anna Friel covers Stylist magazine June 2011 in the electric dress, with the sexy strappy back clearly visible. She wears Sergio Rossi 'Caligola' heels.

American model Angela Lindvall relaxes on the couch in L'Officiel France, May 2011.

Hye Park matches her dress with a pair of Jimmy Choo 'Niagra' sandals in the US version of Marie Claire, May 2011.

Bottom Row:

Dutch model Patricia van der Vliet wears the dress in Vogue Nippon April 2011.

Camilla Belle poses for the March 2011 issue of Glamour Mexico.

Karmen Pedaru puts on a massive red wig for Vogue Nippon March 2011.

Ukranian model Natalia Chabanenko in a fashion editorial for Numero Toyko March 2011.

As for 'Who Wore It Better?', this is a tough one, as this dress seems to suit every model/starlet who has worn it. If I had to chose, I'd pick Rihanna. She wears it with the most spunk. Not everyone can pull off an electric blue dress with a flaming red hair. In the editorials, I like the styling on Anna Friel and Korean-American gal Hye Park - it must be those Jimmy Choo's. What are your thoughts?

Who Wore The Flapper Fringe Dress Better?

Who Wore It Better?

Gucci Sping 2012 Flapper Dress

The LACMA Arts & Film Gala was held this past weekend in Los Angeles, presented by Gucci. When events are hosted by elite fashion brands, it's only natural that stars choose to wear outfits made by designer themselves. Three starlets did just that, picking out 20's inspired dresses from the same Gucci collection, in the same colours, all with an interrelated design, proving that their taste in high-fashion dresses are very similar.

Zoe Saldana wore a cap-sleeved v-neck black dress with loosely fitting top, the skirt draped with gold thread tassels.

Camilla Belle is no stranger to a glamorous Gucci dress. The actress wore a fringed dress with geometric design, hers differed with slots of white and wide striped straps.

Evan Rachel Wood fit the part of a 20's screen queen in her knee-length version of the black and gold flapper dress, with higher v-neckline.

Zoe wore her hair up in a tousled style, showing off her gold Neil Lane earrings. A smokey plum colour adorned her eyes.

Camilla had her hair done in a half-up half-down style. She wore pearl stud earrings and metallic silver eye makeup.

Evan's wavy vintage hairstyle was in sync with her 20's style outfit. She accessorized with black drop earrings, smokey eyes and a cherry lip.

Zoey wore black peep-toe heels with a double chain ankle strap and a gold heel.

Camilla's strappy gold heels with thin metallic ankle strap are also by Gucci.

Evan Rachel wore gold T-bar sandals, with chain detailing and double ankle strap.

I think these looks would have been equally pretty...if they were all not worn to the exact same event. Together on the red carpet, these three actresses look like part of a stylish Gucci-clad girl band, when each of them should in fact, stand out. As you may know by now, I'm a Camilla Belle style fan, so I'm choosing her flapper fringed look as my favourite. Also her dress wasn't as similar as the other two. Who is your pick?

Who Wore Roland Mouret Better?

Who Wore It Better?

Roland Mouret Fall 2011 Gown

I loved the simplicity and elegance of this gown from the moment I saw it. Now we get to see two very different stars wear it on the red carpet - Australian actress Mia Wasikowska & Reality TV queen Kim Kardashian. Both ladies wore the same wine red gown by French designer Roland Mouret. The stretch-crepe cap sleeved dress has asymmetrical folds on the neckline & a fitted bodice that flares out at the knee. Kim wears the dress 5 months after Mia.

Left: Mia looked graceful at this years' Cannes Film Festival held in early May. She wore the gown to the premiere of her latest movie, 'Restless'.
Right: Kim looked vivacious at the 'Huffington Post's Game Changer Awards' held in New York this week. She accessorized the dress with a shiny gold clutch bag.

The dress was adapted into an evening from this midi version as shown on the Roland Mouret Fall 2011 runway (above left), modeled by Svea Kloosterhof. The gown is available for purchase from Harvey Nichols for a staggering £2000 / R25 250.

Kim had her hair in an interesting French braid while Mia opted for a sleek upstyle. The blonde actress kept her makeup minimal with a berry lip stain and not much else, and sparkled with diamond Boucheron earrings. Kim wears glistening gold disc earrings which highlighted her sun-kissed make-up.

It's obvious that Kim fills out the gown better than the dainty Mia, which demonstrates that this is a look suited to any figure. I like the dress on both. What do you think?

Glitter Girls

Trendspotting

Black & Gold Sequin Dresses

The latest star-studded trend to hit the red carpet is glitter-covered gowns. In the past few weeks, a string of celebrities have been seen wearing sparkly sequined dresses in shades of black and gold, or a combination of both. So put on your shades and have a closer look at this dazzling new trend.

Evening Gowns

Naya Rivera sparkles in a black and gold strapless gown with wavy line design by Douglas Hannat. She was on the red carpet at the NCL Alma Awards in Santa Monica.

Milla Jovovich wore a shimmery black Salvatore Ferragamo gown to 'The Three Musketeers' movie premiere. She added a Jimmy Choo clutch and Brian Atwood heels.

Model Crystal Renn is dipped in molten gold for the Metropolitan Opera Season's opening night in New York City. I love her Zac Posen fishtail gown with sweetheart neck and exaggerated short sleeves.

Cocktail Dresses

Camilla Belle looked stunning in black and gold at the opening of the Gucci Museo in Florence. The actress wore a two-toned sequined dress by none other than Gucci.

Camilla Alves wears a twinkly Manish Arora mini dress with metallic-shaded sequinned stripes to a Cirque du Soleil show in LA. Her black peep toe pumps are by Stuart Weitzman.
Brit Morgan opted for a black and gold dress with pleated skirt by Nicole Miller, which she wore to her birthday party in Las Vegas. She paired it with black and white heels.
Kim Kardashian dons a gold Dolce and Gabbana star-print dress for a photo spread in Harper's Bazaar Arabia.

Who Wore Gold Sequins Better?

Eva Longoria & Katie Cassidy both wore the same gold sequined 'Breck' dress by Alice + Olivia, at two separate events - Eva in Las Vegas and Katie in New York. Eva (left) wore nude peep toe heels, while Katie (right) stepped out in chunky black 'Kiera' pumps, also by Alice + Olivia. I prefer this look on Katie.

Get The Look

1. Steal Eva's and Katie's style with this copper and gold sequined stretch-mesh dress by Alice + Olivia. $597 or R4810 from Saks Fifth Avenue

2. One-shouldered black bodycon dress with gold sequined bodice by Bebe. $119 or R959 from Bebe.com

3. A lustrous one-shouldered gold ruched mini by Rare Opulence. $180 or R1420 from The Outnet

4. A glimmering black and gold foil print sequin dress with long sleeves by ADAM. $640 or R5152.50 from Bloomingdales

This trend is sure to add some spark to your nights out.

What are your thoughts - Gaudy or Glamorous?

Who Wore Salvatore Ferragamo Better?

Who Wore It Better?

Salvatore Ferragamo Houndstooth Dress

This is a WWIB battle of epic proportions. Six leading ladies from all corners of the globe have fallen for the hypnotic charms of this Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2011 houndstooth dress. The long sleeved black and white wrap dress has a deep plunge neck and slight front slit. I usually love houndstooth print, but this is getting a bit much...

1. Australian actress Teresa Palmer wore the dress first on 28 June 2011, while attending Salvatore Ferragamo's Resort 2012 presentation. She paired it with a box clutch, embellished belt and black heels by Ferragamo. Teresa kept her hair straight, with natural makeup.
2. Fashion-frenzied Lady Gaga wore houndstooth from hat-to-heel for an appearance on 'The View' on 1 August. Her hat, outlandish sunglasses, clutch bag and pumps were all in sync with her Ferragamo dress. She added strings of pearls for more drama.
3. Chinese actress Fan Bing Bing wore the dress next, within the same week as Gaga. She opted to wear the dress to the Ferragamo 'Attimo' fragrance launch in Beijing. Fan accessorized with black platform heels and a black sling bag. She added an air of mystique with a black netted hat. Her jet black locks were ironed out, her makeup almost theatrical.
4. Australian model Jessica Hart took her Ferragamo frock out on the town during Fashion's Night Out in New York on 8 September. Jessica accompanied her look with a statement bejeweled choker, black clutch and pointy-toe Ferragamo heels. Her hair was up in a high bun.
5. Vogue Japan editor Anna Dello Russo wore the dress during Milan Fashion Week in late September. She tossed on a flamboyant feathered hat, garnished with a large pink rose. At 48, she wears this dress as well as the younger dames. I like the two-tone heels with it. She carries the same Ferragamo houndstooth clutch as Lady Gaga.
6. Kim Kardashian is never one to miss out on a trend. She wore the wrap dress last week, on 7 October, for a television interview in New York City. This is the simplest from all the looks, as Kim chose neutral black accessories and wore her hair in a slicked black ponytail. The bold red lipstick is a great addition.

The dress as shown on the runway, worn by Italian model Bianca Balti

As for 'Who Wore it Best', this is a tough one. I like the fit on Anna, along with her black and white heels. But I prefer it with simple hair and styling like Kim's. What are your thoughts?

Who Wore Alberta Ferretti Better?

Who Wore It Better?

A Gossip Girl or Latina Actress

This first time I spotted this gorgeous pink Alberta Ferretti dress, was in April this year, when the beautiful Camilla Belle wore it for a red carpet event. Forward five months and the same dress appears in a scene of Gossip Girl, worn by our favourite television fashionista, Blair Waldorf. The pretty pink dress is from Alberta Ferretti's Fall 2011 collection, and features a tie-up halter neck and embellished doubled tiered skirt.

Left: Camilla Belle wore the salmon pink dress to the 'Good Housekeeping Annual Shine On Awards' on 12 April in New York City. Camilla accessorized with a black Salvatore Ferragamo clutch bag, Cartier jewels and two-toned ankle-strap heels by Christian Louboutin.
Right: Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) is styled in the chiffon frock for an episode of the upcoming season of Gossip Girl. She paired her dress with cream tweed Moschino jacket trimmed with frills and pearls. Blair carries a quilted Marc Jacobs handbag and walks in Roger Vivier buckle-front court heels, both in similar neutral shades.

The dress as shown on the runway by German model Luisa Bianchin. It is worn with thigh-high charcoal grey boots.

Camilla wore her hair in a slightly messy updo, while Blair added a matching Carissa pink fascinator to her sleek hair style.

Even though I am a a fan of both stylistas, I'm going to go with Blair on this one. Her outfit is styled in a way that is not typical or predictable. I prefer her accessories as well. I had liked this dress from the moment I saw it on Camilla. But after seeing Blair in it, I like it a whole lot better. She takes the original dress and gives it so much more life and character.

What do you think?

Who Wore The Fay Trench Coat Better?

Who Wore It Better?

Fay Metropolitan Folie Trench

It's Pippa Middleton vs Kylie Minogue on this version of 'Who Wore It Better?'. The Brit it-chick and the Aussie songstress were spotted in the same trench coat on the streets of London this week. Their black belted trench coat with cream piping is by clothing brand Fay.

Left: Pippa wore her trench over a black and white dress, with a cream handbag, large sunnies and cream pumps.
Right: Kylie looked chic wearing her Fay Folie trench with black skinny trousers, a black handbag and high black heels.

I can't decide on who wore it better because I think both ladies are spot on with their choice of styling. Do you agree?

Who Wore Marc Jacobs Better?

Who Wore It Better?

Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 Dress

Two pretty actresses from two sides of the globe were seen wearing the same Marc Jacobs dress, which is from the designer's Fall 2011 collection. The knee-length navy blue lace dress has a scalloped neckline, sleeves and hem.

Left: Australian actress Rose Bryne wore the long-sleeved dress first to the premiere of 'X Men: First Class' in New York on 25 May 2011. She carried a matching navy Kotur clutch bag and wore nude platform pumps by Brian Atwood. Her eyes were lined with black, while the rest of her make up was kept subtle.

Right: South Korean actress Sung Yuri wore the dress to the Marc Jacobs Fall fashion show in Seoul on Tuesday this week. She complemented her red Marc Jacobs clutch bag with scarlet lips. Sung paired her dress with sheer polka dot tights and chunky black ankle-strap heels.

The dress as shown on the runway by Chinese model Fei Fei Sun. It was styled with an elaborate red neckpiece, the sheer spotted stockings and long black boots.

I like the dress on both ladies, but prefer it without the tights. Ideally, I would pair it with Rose's nude heels and Sung's red clutch bag. What do you think?

Who Wore Temperley London Better?

Who Wore It Better?

Temperley London Evening Gown

What does a demure British sweetheart and a fallen Hollywood actress have in common? Answer: The same dress sense. Who would've guessed? I never thought I'd see Pippa Middleton and Lindsay Lohan wear the same evening gown. But here it is...

Left: The charming Pippa Middleton wore the emerald green satin gown to the royal wedding reception of her sister, Kate Middleton on 29 April 2011. The floor-length dress has a plunging neckline with crystal embellishing. Pippa paired the dress with strappy silver Aruna Seth heels and a silver metallic clutch bag.

Right: Lindsay Lohan wore the white version of the Temperley London gown to Kim Kardashian's wedding reception, which had a black & white dress code for all 450 guests. The dress appears to be very satin-bridal-nightie on her. The bridal-like upstyle isn't helping either.

I prefer the beautiful jewel-toned colour of Pippa's dress. She carries the gown off with grace and elegance. I don't share the same sentiments about Lindsay's look. What do you think?

Which Kardashian Sister Wore It Better?

Who Wore The Myne Dress Better?

Kim or Khloe?

The Kardashian sisters share a lot of things; homes, friends, fame, an unabashed love of attention and the same taste in clothes. Kim and Khloe were seen in the same Myne silk dress but in two different colours. The $126 (R920) dress has a plunging surplice neckline, rope leather belt, gathered elasticated waist and draped skirt.

Khloe wore the bubblegum pink version of the dress last week on the streets of Los Angeles. Kim's younger sister added black accessories to her look, including a black Hermés Birkin bag and black and leopard print fully strapped stilettos. The same pink dress was worn by Tika Sumpter (Raina from Gossip Girl) in July.
Kim wore the the cream toga-style dress to her wedding-fragrance photo shoot at the beginning of August. Her look was dressier, with a gold cuff, and collar necklace. She wore flat embellished Sam Edelman sandals with it.

I prefer Kim's look, she styled the dress in a way that brings out it's Grecian-like appeal. What do you think?

Who Wore Versus Better?

Who Wore It Better?

Versus Fall 2011 Dress

Three starlets were seen on the red carpet wearing three very similar versions of a sexy Versus dress. The corset silhouette remains the same, while the necklines and panels on the sheer bodice differ slightly.

Odette Yustman wore the dress to the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Party back in April. This dress fits her like a glove. It is off-the-shoulder, with the hem just at the knee. The fitted bodice shimmers with silver panels. Black peep toes complete her look.

Anna Paquin chose to wear the dress for the 'True Blood' Season 4 Premiere in June. Her version is sleeveless, shorter and has sparkly purple panels. She carried a purple Jimmy Choo clutch and wore black Brian Atwood pumps.

Kristen Bell wore another version of the dress to an event in Hollywood last night. Her dress is strapless with more of the sheer bodice on view. Also, the bodice lacks the sparkle of the other two dresses. She walked in Casadei pumps and carried a silver Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.

I like Odette's version of the dress , the longer length provides a leaner look, and the fit is just perfect on her. What do you think?

Who Wore Zac Posen Better?

Who Wore It Better?

Zac Posen Leopard Print Dress

Five starlets were seen in this sea green and black leopard print bustier dress from Zac Posen's Pre-Fall 2011 Collection. The curve-hugging stretch crepe dress has a sweetheart neckline and pleated bodice.

Model Leigh Lazark was the first to wear the bustier dress on 3 March 2011, at the Zac Posen RTW Fall/Winter fashion show. She paired the dress with a heavy black fur coat, black tights and pumps.
Reese Witherspoon then wore the dress on 5 June at the MTV Movie Awards 2011. The blonde actress chose to wear nude Jimmy Choo peep-toes with it.
Television host, Rocsi Diaz donned the dress for the BET Pre-party on 26 June. She added chunky bracelets and bejeweled sandals to her look.
Mary J Blige poses in the same knee-length dress at the McDonald's 365 Black Awards on 1 July 2011. Blonde cropped hair and black peep toes complete her look.
Kim Kardashian wore her leopard print dress out in Los Angeles this weekend. While the others opted to wear their Zac Posen dress for red carpet events, Kim wore hers to a cake shop. She carried a large clutch and walked in high black platforms.

I like the dress on Leigh the most. She was the only one who styled it differently, whereas it looks pretty much the same on everyone else.

You can buy the Zac Posen leopard print dress at Shopbop for $1790 or R12 446.23

Who Wore the Isabel Marant Jacket Better?

Who Wore It Better?

Isabel Marant Reilly Jacket

When a $3495 jacket is sold out everywhere, you know that it must be truly special. In ZAR terms, that's R24 124. The Isabel Marant Reilly Jacket has made frequent rounds of Hollywood and beyond during the past few months.

The multicolored cropped jacket has an upholstered look to it, which reminds me of the finely embroidered Rajasthani coats I saw while visiting Jaipur. The front-closure, sleeves and neckline are edged with either blue or red and white beads. The fabric is transposed from light to dark, with v-shaped panels on the sides. It has a tailored fit with slightly exaggerated shoulders. With the kaleidoscope of muted colours incorporated into this jacket, it can be worn with so many different things.

Country singer Julianne Hough wore it with an army green tee, dark wash jeans and wedges.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley paired her jacket with a black t-shirt and skinny jeans. She added a floppy brown hat and suede boots to her look.

Hilary Duff was spotted wearing the jacket this week. She wore it with black skinnies and a black t-shirt. She walked in sky-high black stilettos.

Brit model & WAG, Alex Curran Gerrad wore her Reilly Jacket with lightwash flare denims, a loose white t-shirt and large cream tote.

Austrian stylist Caroline Sieber looks ultra cool with dark skinny jeans, white fitted tee, platform sandals and a striped bag.

As for who wore it best, my pick is Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She styled it perfectly.

Who's your favourite?
