Toyota launches incentives;

Toyota and other automakers are launching incentives this summer to improve sales, and some incentives include discounted Chevrolet Impala sale and others. Toyota has been launching incentives due to decreased sales after the company has suffered from the Japanese earthquake and resulting production halts. However, there are used cars for sale Saint Petersburg including Toyota and other models.

Other dealers that sell quality green vehicles include Philadelphia Hyundai dealerships. Toyota is offering incentives like 0 percent loans to help the company sell more vehicles due to production shortfalls. North American and other automakers are still operating at full efficiency and production while Toyota and other Japanese automakers are not. Toyota is offering 0 percent financing on the Camry for 60 months and lease rates that start at less than $200 per month in order to spur sales.

Toyota is also offering 0 percent financing for 60 months on the Tundra pickup or the option of a $2,000 to $2,500 rebate that depends on the Tundra model. Toyota is offering other options like allowing lease owners to extend their leases. Sales fell 30 percent in May and are not doing well for the year due to recalls and other problems that the world's largest automaker has dealt with over the past year. It also looks like the recent incentives have helped to increase sales, as Toyota sold 25 percent of its May sales during the
Memorial Day weekend when the incentives went into effect.

Toyota still has a ways to go before the company returns to full production, but this will occur sooner than expected based on a recent announcement by the company. Toyota said that there are shorter supplies at dealerships due to production shortages with a 30 day supply of the Corolla and a 50 day supply of the Camry currently available.

Toyota and Tesla Sign Contract for RAV4 Development;

The talks of Toyota and Tesla working together have finalized in a deal between the companies to produce a joint RAV4 electric vehicle model. Toyota is looking to produce more electric vehicles to compete domestically and abroad with Ford whose latest models like the Ford Fiesta and Ford Taurus are popular vehicle choices in certain markets around the world. Toyota will be working with Tesla and using Tesla's latest battery technology to produce the vehicle that will be powered by an all-electric drivetrain. Fuel efficient Hyundai models can be seen at a Hyundai Philadelphia dealership.

There are also local VW Dealer businesses that sell fuel efficient Volkswagen models that are also equipped with the latest and best safety features. Toyota and Tesla will release the joint model in 2012. The choice of the RAV4 as the vehicle of choice was no surprise as Tesla previously released a prototype RAV4 that was battery powered, and Tesla will produce more prototypes in 2010 for this model as well.

The reason why the RAV4 was selected as the model was because it was best suited to Tesla's large battery size and also had the proper vehicle weight and other requirements for the electric vehicle. The Corolla was also another vehicle that was in consideration for the electric Toyota model.

The partnership began last May when Toyota bought $50 million in Tesla and hinted that a deal was in the works with Tesla although the company never came outright and said that until recently. Tesla is looking to produce its own vehicle models in 2012 starting with the Model S sedan, although Tesla does already produce limited quantities of its Roadster model for purchase at select dealerships.

Tesla's latest partnership with Toyota will likely be good for investors as it shows that the company is diversifying its business interests and is willing to work with other established automakers to make more profits.
