Friday Frills

"A woman will allow herself to be clouded by her emotions.
Her reasonable thoughts become completely unreasonable over the most ridiculous thing. Its a girl thing."
Lea DeLaria

So...
Don't make promises when you're happy,
Do not reply when you're angry and,
Do not decide when you're sad.

Friday Frills

I feared being alone, until I learned to like my own company.
I feared failure, until I realized it was a means to success.
I feared the opinions of others, until I realized people will have opinions about me anyway.
I feared rejection, until I learned to have faith in myself.

I feared pain, until I realized it was necessary for growth.
I feared ridicule, until I learned how to laugh at myself.
I feared the truth, until I saw the ugliness in lies.
I feared getting older, until I realized I gained more wisdom with each passing day.

I feared life, until I experienced its beauty.
I feared hate, until I realized that it was nothing more than ignorance.
I feared love, until it touched my heart and uplifted my soul.
I feared the dark, until I saw the beauty of the stars.
I feared the light, until I learned that the truth would give me strength.

I feared the future, until I realized that it's a path to new discoveries.
I feared the past, until I realized that it has moulded me into who I am today.
I feared my destiny, until I realized I had the power to change my life.
I feared change, until I realized that even the most beautiful butterfly had to undergo metamorphosis before it could fly.

Friday Frills

Life has taught us that...
You can't be all things to all people.

You can't do all things at once.

You can't do all things equally well.

And you can't do all things better than everyone else.

So, you have to find out who you are, and be that.

You have to decide what comes first in your life, and do that.

You have to discover your strengths, and use them.

You have to learn not to compete with others,
Because no one else is in the contest of 'Being You'.

Then you will have learned to accept your own uniqueness.

You will have learned to set priorities and make decisions.

You will have learned to live with your limitations.

You will have learned to give yourself the respect that is due.

Dare To Believe that you are a wonderful, unique person.

That you are a once-in-all-history event.

That it's more than a right, it's your duty, to be who you are.

That life is not a problem to solve, but a gift to cherish.

"Stop thinking about the past, and dont worry too much about whats going to happen in the future. Your presence is a present, so live for today, and appreciate everyone and everything you have.

Stop thinking about what you dont have, what you wish you had, who walked out of your life, and whatever else that falls in that category.
Think about what you have, who you have in your life, and how fortunate you are."
JC Centeno

Wishing you all Happy Holidays and a Wonderful Christmas Weekend!

Friday Frills

There comes a time in your life when you have to walk away from all the drama, and the people who create it.
Surround yourself with people who make you smile.

Remind yourself of who you are and where you want to be.
Stand up for what you believe in, even if it means standing alone.

Forget the bad and focus on the good.
Love the people who treat you right, forgive the ones who don't.

If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it.
Because in the end, we will only regret those chances we didn't take, relationships we were afraid to have and decisions we waited too long to make.

Life is too short to be anything but happy.
Hold on to the memories, let go of the regrets.
Falling down is part of life, but getting back up is living.

tolerate the unpleasant, overcome the unexpected

A Dedication to Friends, Old and New, in the Blogosphere and Here on Earth...

I can't give you the solutions to all of life's problems, doubts, or fears.

But I can listen to you and together we will search for answers.

I can't change your past with all its heartache and pain, nor the future with its untold stories.

But I can be there now when you need me to care.

I can't keep your feet from stumbling.

I can only offer my hand, that you may grasp it and not fall.

Your joys, triumphs, success, and happiness are not mine,

Yet I can share in your laughter.

Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge,

I can only support you, encourage you, and help you when you ask.

I can't prevent you from falling away from friendship, from your values, from me.

I can only pray for you, talk to you, step aside and wait for you to change your mind.

I can't give you boundaries which I have determined for you,

But I can give you the room to change, room to grow, room to be yourself.

I can't keep your heart from breaking and hurting,

But I can cry with you and help you pick up the pieces and put them back in place.

I can't tell you who you are.

I can only be your friend.

"Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed.
Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with
love, grace and gratitude."

Friday Frills

Maybe...the biggest challenge in life is to be yourself in a world that is trying to make you like everyone else.

Maybe...you shouldn't hate the people who are jealous of you, but instead respect their jealousy - after all, they are the ones who think that you are better than them.

Maybe...the brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past. After all, you can’t go on successfully in life until you let go of your past mistakes, failures and heartaches.

Maybe...it's not where you are in life, but who you have by your side that really counts.

Maybe...you shouldn’t go for looks; they can deceive. Don’t go for wealth, even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile, because all it takes is a smile to light up the darkest day.

Maybe...you shouldn't let what you can't do interfere with what you can.

Maybe...when life is good, we should say thank you and appreciate it. And when life is grim, we should say thank you and learn from it.

Maybe...everything is beautiful, but being beautiful isn't everything.

Maybe...you shouldn't change your looks or lifestyle to please someone else, because if they truly love you, they will accept you just the way you are.

Maybe...being happy doesn't mean that everything has to be perfect. It just means that you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.

"If you look to others for fulfillment, you will never

be fulfilled. If your happiness depends on money, you
will never be happy with yourself. Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the world belongs to you."
Lao-Tzu
