Unani

Unani is one of the ancient system of medicine in the world. It is the alternative medicine that derives its name from Greek word 'Ionia'. Unani system of medicine originated in Greece, is based on the principles propounded by Galen, Hippocrates and Avicenna. It is still practiced in Indian sub continent and other parts of the world. The practices and theories of the Unani system of medicine are quite similar to that of Ayurveda. It has now become the integral part of the Indian system of medicine. In India, there are about hundred of Unani Medical Colleges and Institutes where Unani is taught.

Unani gave birth to the new theory of science according to which disease in a body was a natural process and that symptoms were the reactions of the body to the disease. The study of Unani is based on the four humours namely :- Phlegm (Balgham), Blood (Dam), Yellow bile (Safra), and Black Bile (Sauda).

The identification of diseases in Unani system of medicine is through examination of pulse, urine and stool. Unani detect the influence of environment and ecological conditions such as air, food, drinks, body movement, psychic movement, excretion and retention on the state of health.Each individual's unique mixture of these substances ascertain his temperament : predominance of blood gives a sanguine temperament, a predominance of phlegm makes one phlegmatic, black bile – melancholic and yellow bile bilious. Any sort of imbalance in these substances can cause disease in the human body otherwise he remains healthy.

Unani Treatment :

Regimental Therapy : the regimental therapy includes procedures like venesection, cupping, diaphoresis, cauterisation, diuresis, turkish bath, puging, emesis, exercise and leeching. All these theories are based on the specific body reflexes, through various massages. But in the several musculoskeletal problems like back pain and arthritis, application of cold, heat or suction cups is also done. In rare cases, some of the serious diseases are treated by puncturing certain reflex points, in this whole process few drops of blood are released.

Costa anuncia navios para temporada 2010/2011

Foi anunciada ontem a temporada da Costa em águas brasileiras os navios para a temporada 2010/2011 serão o Costa Serena,o Fortuna que voltará depois de 2 anos, e o Victoria que repetirá seus roteiros.



Lançado em 2007, como parte do plano de expansão da frota que previa cinco navios iguais de 114.500 toneladas ( e dois de 92.600(Luminosa e Deliziosa)) por isso é praticamente igual ao Concordia, e bem parecido com o Magica e Fortuna. Sua temática interna é baseada em Deuses e Mitos, principal fato que o diferencia de seus outros irmãos. Tem estrutura de lazer completa, com quatro piscinas( 1 infantil), tobo-água, cassino, spa, simulador de F1, restaurantes, bares, um átrio de vários andares, etc. Ele ostenta 114.500 toneladas, 35 metros de largura, 290 de comprimento e 3.760 passageiros, sendo portanto o navio com maior capacidade de passageiros anunciado até agora para 2010/2011.



Seguindo o Costa Serena, o Costa Fortuna estará de volta para a sua segunda temporada no Hemisfério Sul. Pela primeira vez aqui em 2006/2007 o navio fez historia como o primeiro navio com mais de 100.000 toneladas a ficar baseado no Brasil. É considerado um dos mais elegantes navios da frota (com decoração mais sóbria, mas ainda extravagante) e como o Costa Serena tem quatro piscinas, tobo-água, restaurantes, bares, spa e tantas outras atrações. Sua vinda dará uma folga ao Costa Magica que nesta temporada virá pela 3ª temporada seguida. Relativamente novo, foi lançado em 2003. Tem características técnicas parecidas com as do Serena, e iguais as do Magica: capacidade para 3.470 passageiros, 272 metros de comprimento, 35 metros de largura e 102.500 toneladas.



o Costa Victoria volta mais uma vez ao Brasil, mas como nesta temporada deverá ficar baseado em Buenos Aires, com cruzeiros que partem desta cidade com destino ao Brasil, na maioria dessas é possível embarcar no Rio de Janeiro. O Costa Victoria é para muitos o melhor navio da frota, bem decorado, não tão grande e com muitas opções de lazer. É o último navio que a Costa construiu antes de ser comprada pela Carnival Corporation, e por isso tem grande parte das características dos navios mais antigos. Como o Terazza Café, que tambem está presente no Classica e Romantica. Foi lançado em 1996, pesa 75.166 toneladas, tem 252.9 metros de comprimento, 32.2 de comprimento e acomoda até 2.394 passageiros.


Em breve a Costa deve anunciar os roteiros, mas é possível prever que o Serena deve fazer a rota Nordeste, o Fortuna a rota Prata e o Victoria a Prata inversa.
