'American Idol': Diddy Dirty Money, Ruben Studdard and the Kraken unleashed

"American Idol" packed its results show with lots of entertainment beyond just Usher, who also acted as mentor to the contestants this week.

Unsurprisingly, it was Diddy Dirty Money who delivered the most over-the-top performance, complete with violins, a staircase, dry ice effects, strobe lights and his signature white clothes.

Part '90s throwback, part aerobicized routine, "Hello Good Morning" was all attitude. It kept us entertained, but was it good?
See for yourself: Rewinding to the top of the hour, we were treated to "American Idol" winner Ruuuuuuuben Studdard's return with a strong and assured performance of his "Don't Make 'Em Like You No More."
Healthier and happier, he did a creditable job, doing the "Idol" name proud.
Oh, and as a bonus, right before his performance was the hilarious "Clash of the Titans" meets "American Idol" trailer mashup. Simon Cowell is to be feared! American Idol season 9 lost another hopeful Wednesday as the vote results were revealed and Didi Benami drew the short stick. In addition to the requisite elimination action, the AI results show featured a performance
by season 2 Idol Ruben Studdard, the world premiere of Diddy-Dirty Money's Hello, Good Morning, and naturally, more catfighting between Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell.
American Idol season 2 winner Ruben Studdard opened the AI results show with a rendition of Don't Make 'Em Like U No More. The big man may often play second fiddle to seasonmate Clay Aiken, but he owned the stage Wednesday, singing with passion, movement, and a big smile. It's not really my kind of music (I'm in my living room and not an elevator, after all), but you have to appreciate that kind of enthusiasm.
Next came more cheesy corn in the form of the week's Ford music video. This week's installment was set to the tune of Kung Fu Fighting and featured some of the Idol hopefuls decked out in Kung Fu wear and throwing kicks. It was weird. Then, just to drag out the elimination show a little, Seacrest began the process of grilling the top 10, asking them (and Andrew Garcia's mama) random, chit chatty questions. Oh, and he pimped The Clash of the Titans, too. Gratuitous, but I guess they pay the bills with that kind of stuff.
The American Idol results show finally, finally, finally got to what we were waiting for about 18 minutes in: Actual results. Lee DeWyze was the first contestant to be named to the top 9, followed by Casey James and Aaron Kelly. Siobhan Magnus and Katie Stevens were next to stand; Siobhan was proclaimed safe and dissolved into tears, while Katie was relegated to the bottom three. Simon must've made some sort of comment about Katie's position near the bottom of the pack because Ryan flew toward him and told him (paraphrased, of course) to stop being a jerk, which impelled a defensive set of remarks from the Briton. It was awkward, as open hostility on national TV is always awkward. But I got over it.

American Idol just bid farewell to Didi Benami as she got eliminated tonight. Didi was part of the show’s bottom 3 and was one of the more likely candidates to get

booted tonight. The other members of the bottom 3 Tim Urban and Katie Stevens managed to survive tonight but their future on the show isn’t really bright.

Didi Benami got eliminated in Round 6. Everything isn’t down for Didi though as Simon said that her performance was way better than he expected.She had dedicated her last song, “What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted,” to her friend Rebecca Joy Lier who died on Dec. 14, 2005.

Didi Benami Sent Home On 'American Idol'

It was another week with no save on "American Idol." Didi Benami's ride to potential stardom screeched to a halt Wednesday night (March 31) when even a strong reprise of

her signature Fleetwood Mac cover wasn't enough to keep her in the game. The action-packed hour featured performances from Usher, season-two "Idol" champ Ruben Studdard and Diddy-Dirty Money, as well as a visit from Justin Bieber, but all eyes were on the top 10, as nearly half the finalists were potential bottom-three fodder after an uneven night of R&B performances on Tuesday.

It's on to the next one, though, for Lee Dewyze, Casey James, Aaron Kelly and Siobhan Magnus, who survived after her wobbly take on Chaka Khan's "Through the Fire" elicited a thumbs-down across the board from the judges. Also safe were

Crystal Bowersox, Andrew Garcia and Michael Lynche, who celebrated his luck with a near body slam of Ryan Seacrest after the host tried to fake him out. Teen Katie Stevens had no such luck, taking another trip to the bottom three after the judges had mixed reviews for her cover of Aretha Franklin's iconic "Chain of Fools." She was joined, not surprisingly, by Benami, who got mostly poor notices for her jazzy attempt at "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted," a departure from her singer/songwriter lane that drew predictions of a trip home from our "Idol" experts.

Joining them was perma-grinning "Teflon" Tim Urban, who got flamed for his shambolic attempt at Anita Baker's "Sweet Love." He took the time to explain that the reason he's always smiling onstage is that he appreciates the opportunity to sing for millions, and if it's his last chance to do so, he doesn't want to leave the stage wearing a frown.

The sojourn in the cellar was short for Stevens, who was the first one sent back to safety, followed by the seemingly bulletproof Urban, who busted out his signature smile upon hearing the news.

Benami gave it one more chance, taking another swing at her well-received folky ramble through Fleetwood Mac's "Rhiannon," which she imbued with the coffeehouse flavor that made the judges fall in love with her the first time. Though she flubbed a note near the end, the performance was a mostly strong one, but, alas, not enough to keep her in the mix.

After not even considering the save last week when they sent Paige Miles packing, Simon Cowell seemed torn over whether to bust it out this time. "It's bad news, sweetheart. We're not going to save you," he said with a frown. "[But] it was a million times better than what you did last night."

Benami took a gracious bow and smiled as she watched her farewell montage before breaking into tears as her fellow finalists crowded around for a warm group hug.

At the top of the show, producers amped up the drama in a whole new way, intercutting footage from the upcoming "Clash of the Titans" remake with clips from Tuesday night's performances, setting up the night's eliminations as a battle between the monolithic judges and the starry-eyed contestants.

Among the performers was nearly slim season-two champ Studdard, who spread some velvet-teddy-bear love with his silky ode to the perfect lover, "Don't Make 'Em Like You No More," working the stage like an old-school soul veteran and encouraging the audience to get into it as he swayed and bobbed to the beat.

Also in the house was Justin Bieber, who was on hand to see a performance from his musical guru, this week's "Idol" mentor, Usher. Wearing a dark suit with silver lapels and a black bowler hat, Ush popped and locked his way through his new single, the spare dance anthem "OMG," with help from Will.I.Am.

Making his "Idol" debut was Diddy, with Dirty Money, performing their new single "Hello, Good Morning" in public for the first time. The throbbing Euro-disco club burner with a Timbaland-style beat found the Bad Boy boss busting out his signature shoulder-shrugging dance moves while sporting a white leather suit and bouncing across a fog-enshrouded stage.

No dia 30 de Março Ilha Grande recebeu 2 navios de grande porte: o Vision os the Seas e o MSC Orchestra. O primeiro, em viagem de páscoa, seguiu para Salvador pouco depois das 16 horas e 30. Abordo estavam 2.200 passageiros que haviam embarcando um dia antes em Santos para um cruzeiro de páscoa de 7 noites com destino a Salvador, Ilha Bela, Búzios e é claro, Ilha Grande. Já o Orchestra seguia em um cruzeiro de 4 noites pelo litoral sudeste, a viagem com escala no Rio de Janeiro, Búzios e Ilha Grande começou no último dia 27 e terminou hoje em Santos. A bordo estavam 3.013 passageiros que aproveitaram uma escala de 12 horas.

Ilha Grande é uma Ilha no litoral sul do Rio de Janeiro. A cidade na verdade é um distrito de Angra dos Reis que conta com em média 5.000 habitantes. Sua principal localidade é a Ilha do Abraão, com 3.000 habitantes. Não é possível chegar à Ilha de carro, já que esta não é ligada por uma ponte nem por balsas ao continente, a única forma de se chegar em Ilha Grande é pelo mar. É raro ver um carro nas ruas do distrito. A vegetação é exuberante, e é protegida por 2 Parques Estaduais e uma Reserva Biológica. Também possui muitas praias, só as principais são 16. Recentemente o distrito tem recebido navios que ancoram próximos ao seu litoral.

NASA to investigate Toyota Electronics Problem

According to the latest information, the U.S. safety regulators are planning to approach NASA scientists to assist them in analyzing the unintended acceleration problem in Toyota cars.

According to the U.S. Transport Secretary Ray LaHood, there will be detach study on the Toyota issue. And, it will be led by another specialist who will look into the acceleration problem across the auto industry.

We are determined to obtain to the bottom of unintended acceleration, LaHood said in an interview.

The Toyota issue is being evaluated by Transportation Department's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Earlier, Toyota had to recall about 8.5 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles all over the world due to electronic strangle problems. Then, it came under the U.S. lawmakers’ fury who demanded instant inquiry and heavy compensation from the automaker.

As per the NHTSA statement, the review is expected to be finished by late summer after which the agency would determine whether to go for a formal investigation.

Toyota is struggling currently to win the trust of the consumers and its market in auto segment. So, the report might pose a hard time for the auto huge to maintain its position.

Meanwhile, Toyota has also frequently snubbed the discrepancy in the safeguards in its vehicle electronics and has seen no evidence that they have failed on the road.

April 14 is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the revolutionary political leader, Buddhists activist, great scholar and a historian. Referred to as the 'Father of Indian Constitution', Dr B.R. Ambedkar was born as the poor Mahar at the Military Head Quarter of War in state of Madhya Pradesh. He devoted his entire life for the cause of humanity in uplifting the minority (schedule caste and schedule tribe) section of the society.

Till date, people from all over the world appraise him for his liberal thoughts and revolutionary ideas. His farsightedness and urge to bring change in the society for the good, brought him national as well as international fame as a great social reformer.

Defeating numerous social and financial crises, he became first untouchables to obtain college education in India. After earning law degrees and multiple doctorates for his study and research in law, economics and political science from Columbia University and London School of Economics, he returned India as a great scholar, after which he practiced law for few years before publishing journals propagating social and political rights for the Indian untouchables.

Dr Ambedkar was the founder of the 'Independent Labour Party of India'. He was considered 'God' for the untouchables in the society. Beyond social reformer, he was also a great philosopher and prolific writer. Some of his popular contributions include The Annihilation of Caste; The Untouchables: A Thesis on the Origins of Untouchability; Who are Shudras etc.

He also played important role in the freedom struggle of India. Post Independence, he became India's first law minister. In 1945, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee and was asked to write free India’s new constitution. Dr. Ambedkar was honored Bharat Ratna in 1990. On 26th December 1956, we lost this great leader.

April 14 is declared as a public holiday in the country. On this day all the Dalit organizations, carry huge possessions and rallied and conduct cultural programees on grand scale. His statues are decorated. Some of the other known Dalit leaders in the country includes Shri Mayawati and K. R. Narayanan.

'Dancing with the Stars' Week 2 Results: Who's the First to Go

Kate's overwhelming 'watercooler' effect will keep her around, and one of the smaller-name stars will be sent packing. I think.

The First Dancing with the Stars 2010 Voting Results Were Revealed on Tuesday Night

Dancing With the Stars season revealed that it isn't always who seems to be the most popular that is going to succeed from week to week. Fan voting was shown to almost be more important than the judge's scores as it was revealed who was safe and who was in the bottom two during the Tuesday night DWTS results show. When the show started, they immediately revealed one of the couples that were in the bottom two (Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood) in order to spark interest in the ending of the show.
Seeing Pamela Anderson in the bottom two was a bit shocking, because she had put together the fourth best overall score through two dances according to the judges. Anderson and Whitewood had a score of 43 out of 60, compared to only 26 points from the combination of Buzz Aldrin and Ashley Costa. It could show that Buzz Aldrin has a ton of fans voting from home, which wouldn't come as that huge of a surprise, but more shocking that people like Aiden Turner were finding more support than Pamela Anderson. It started to look like the old myth that the pretty people can't win DWTS might strike down Anderson in the first week. It also meant that this could be a season full of surprises.
It was a typical Dancing With the Stars results show, with a lot of filler, several nice performances, and of course a lot of drama from host Tom Bergeron about who was safe throughout the hour. After revealing the first person in the bottom two in the Dancing With the Stars 2010 voting results, it took quite a while to reveal the other couple that was at risk of going home. The second couple in the bottom two ended up being Shannen Doherty and Marc Ballas. It meant that the bottom four couples according to the judges were all safe. O Sinfonia fará roteiros pelas ilhas do Oceano Indico enquanto o Melody, um navio menor, será destinado a novas opções de roteiros para passageiros sul-africanos e turistas internacionais. Assim, a MSC destinará dois navios para o mercado sul africano na próxima temporada. Este é um sinal de crescimento daquele mercado. Mas apesar da perda do Melody vale ressaltar que o mercado brasileiro tem registrado um expressivo crescimento nos últimos anos e a companhia MSC destinará cinco navios para o mercado sul americano que assim continua muito prestigiado pela empresa.

Had the day off sick today as I wasn't well.
Not a big fan of being off sick although I did manage to get a little tidying up done. In between my frequent lavatory visits I did manage to catch up with Wrestlemania 26, RAW and watched some fascinating World War II documentaries.
Things did improve a little as the day progressed although I am still not feeling 100% so will have to play tomorrow by ear.

A armadora Aida é líder do mercado de cruzeiros marítimos na Alemanha e pertence ao grupo Costa Crociere e possui os navios Aida Cara, Vita, Aura, Diva e Bella. A Aida deverá vir a Santos com seu navio Aida Cara. Em breve portanto, teremos mais uma companhia marítima frequentando o porto santista e que deverá trazer muitos turistas estrangeiros à região, especialmente alemães.

Assist Volvo’s New Owners Name the New Models

Ford has lastly unloaded Volvo, Chinese automaker Geely is currently the proud parent of Volvo Cars. After two years of rumors and speculation, the sale go through for $1.8 billion. That’s a bargain believing Ford paid $6.5 billion back in 1999.

While some fear Chinese ownership will somehow dilute or cheapen the Volvo brand, we’re cute excited. Volvo has been struggling to differentiate itself in the face of rivals that get safer, sportier and more luxurious by the year. The last S60 went almost unchanged for nine years, which might as well be a millenium in the auto biz, and most Americans still connect the Swedish automaker with the slow, boxy wagons that haven’t been in production for over a decade.

Currently, Volvo keeps Swedish management and manufacturing while adding factories and ownership in car-crazy China. If Chinese fandom gave us Lexus-worthy Buicks like the newest Lacrosse and new Regal, imagine what could happen if the all-new S60 (shown above) becomes the preferential mode of transport for high officials of the Communist Party. We will, of course, be depressing to see the end of reverse-engineered 20-year old Audis from Hong Qi.

The new models are going to require some new names, though, and that’s where you come in. With the help of your facts of Chinese or Google Translate (and apologies to our friends who actually speak a Chinese dialect), we want you to present your predictions for new Volvo model names.

President Obama is set to claim final victory on his top domestic priority Tuesday by signing into law a package of changes to the newly enacted health care reform

The race is broadcasting live from Martinsville. The Race was suppose to take place yesterday but the rain made NASCAR postpone the Goody’s 500 until today.
