Goa readies for the 2010 Commonwealth Games


Goa known for its pulsating nightlife, mind boggling beaches and ancient churches sees a good opportunity in 2010 Commonwealth Games to up its tourists inflow and gain some additional business, by offering the special discount offers to the tourists.

Goa is like a Pandora's box, petrified with lot of hidden treasures. Every destination in Goa is incredibly beautiful. One needs to explore it. It is the only destination in India that offers lot of entertainment and luxury to the tourists.

And this Pandora box is what the Tourism industry plans to open for the upcoming Commonwealth Games, that are supposed to be held in Delhi – the capital city of India next year. New tourists destinations have been explored, heritages sites have been renovated, new beaches themes have been discovered, fairs and festivals have been planned up. All the projects are almost completed.

The state is hoping to receive double the tourists in 2010. And so the state government is focusing its attention on the growth of tourism. As travelers now a days enjoy eco tourism and living among the locals, the authorities have started identifying more attractions and more variety for the house stay facilities for the tourists.

Most foreigners come here to enjoy cultural attractions, explore heritage sites and enjoy on it beaches.
Goa can be refreshing change for the tourists, away from the scorching heat of Delhi and Agra. Some of the beaches such as Anjuna Beach, Baga Beach, Benaulim Beach, Dona Paula Beach, Calangute Beach and Colva Beach area must visit for the tourists coming on the tour to India.
