Jennifer and Bob marry August 1, 2009 at the Lake Wheeler Conference Center

Jennifer and Bob are a great couple. He’s a fireman with two local fire depts (!) and she’s a bank teller working on furthering her education. And despite such full schedules, they still found time to plan a wedding!

From the start, they told me they wanted their wedding to be casual and relaxed and their choice of location was a perfect compliment for that. They chose the Lake Wheeler Conference Center in Raleigh, which sits right beside the lake and has a beautiful view all around - lake on one side and woods on the other. And because it was the morning, the water was still calm and serene.

Shades of blues and purples were their color scheme and their mothers came perfectly attired!

Jennifer and her Maid of Honor carried large hydrangea blossom bouquets and Bob and his Best Man’s shirts, ties and boutonnieres were perfectly matched to the bouquets. Nice touch. There is something distinctly southern about hydrangea blossoms and I always love seeing them as bouquets - especially the big blue ones.

Although the morning weather was overcast and hazy, it cast a perfect atmosphere over the lake and the softness lent itself beautifully to the lovely, intimate setting. It was a very sweet wedding and I will always remember it. This photo of them together is one of my favorites from the day for it shows the tenderness that passed between them and the soft, romantic feeling of the light. A perfect combination.
Jennifer and Bob, may there be many more soft, sweet days to share throughout your lives.
