
Delhi - the capital city of India, is the new born host of eminent Commonwealth Games that are supposed to be held in 2010 staring from 3th October to 14 th October. In the past, Delhi has also hosted Asian Games in 1951 and 1982. It is believed that Commonwealth Games are likely to boosts India Tourism Industry, as the foreign tourists who will be coming to India next year will be greatly dependent upon the travel agents for the tour itineraries, hotel bookings, flight reservations and visa.
According to the estimates over 2.5million foreign tourists and 4.5 million domestic tourists are likely to arrive in Delhi on the eve of the commonwealth games. So it is no doubt that the event will be great hit for the India Tourism Industry. Along with that Indian hospitality, aviation and hotel industry will also be equally beneficial with the event.
Commonwealth Games will provide dual enjoyment to the tourists - first of all, it is a opportunity for tourists to be a part of the different sports activities and on the other they can enjoy great tourism in the country. The Government of India in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism has come up the new development plans to change the look and feel of the city, for the better.
Hotel owners and apartment builders in the city are working really hard to provide the most delightful experience of India tour during the eve of the Commonwealth Games. Further new projects have come up to discover new heritage, religious, adventurous tourists sites in the northern states of India bordering Delhi including the Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan.

So, it is no doubt that Commonwealth Games are going to benefit the Indian Tourism Industry in a big way. It's also going to boost the various job opportunities in the country. With that the Private Sectors like the hotels, travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, airports are going to hire more employees in order to handle large flux of tourists from all over the world.
