Detailed Itinerary :
Day 1 : Arrive Delhi
Upon your arrival at the Delhi International Airport, our representative will be there to assist you and transfer you to the hotel where you are scheduled to stay by night.
Delhi is India's main point of arrival for the foreign tourists. Throwing its charismatic charm on its visitors, the city is enriched with the rich cultural past and heritage. Amongst the must visited places during the trip to Delhi are its historical monuments, galleries, museums and lot of other interesting places. Your tour to Delhi will let you experience the best of old and new. It is the excellent base of visiting some of the most exciting and exotic destinations that mesmerizes the tourists and leave them spell bound.
Day 2 : Delhi
On the 2nd day of the tour we embark on our first journey to explore Delhi – the capital city of India. We will start with the old Delhi, that takes you to the medieval era and introduce you to the magnificent forts, great architecture, narrow lanes and the crowed bazaars. We will start with the Great Jama Masjid- the biggest mosque in whole Asia.
It stands behind the Red Fort and is an eloquent reminder of the Mughal religious fervor. Later on we take the rickshaw ride to the chandni chowk exploring the vibrant shopping complex and enjoying the delicious food bonanza. Or just drop in at Janpath – for purchasing the variety of handicrafts items and clothes at the very reasonable rate.
Afternoon we will proceed on sightseeing to the New Delhi – a metropolis with the rich cultural reflection of the country. As compared to the old Delhi the New Delhi is far more spacious and is well executed. The very first attraction will be Raj Ghat – the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. It is the great place to relax and spend time in peace.
After that we will walk past the India Gate, memorial raised in honor of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war. Further we drive to the another most important sightseeing destination – Qutab Minar, built by the Qutub-ud-din in the year 1206. We will also visit Humayun's Tomb, memorial of the Mughal emperor Humayun, built in 1565.
You will obviously do not want to miss out the tour to the Akshardham Temple – the World Heritage Site that add to the beautification of the city. It offers the visitors the serenity that pervades the temple and its architecture.
Day 3 : Delhi - Jaipur
The Sojourn to the colorful city of Jaipur will began on the next day (3rd Day) after you get up late in the morning and have a breakfast. Popularly known as the 'Pink City', Jaipur is the main center of attraction to the tourists of the entire globe. Jaipur is one city that can assume you with its unique attractions. It offers the number of interesting places that will add spice on your tour to Jaipur.
We will stay in hotel in the afternoon. After the evening tea, we will get ready for the excursion trip to the ethnic village – Chowki Dhani. It offers the complete evening entertainment at the mere cost of Rs 200. The fabulous Rajasthan dances, exotic animal rides, and typical traditional dinner makes your evening the most exclusive one.
Day 4 : Jaipur
On the 4th day of the tour we will be busy exploring the famous attractions of the city. We will first drive to the Amber Fort – the most fascinating landmark. Earlier it was the capital of the Kachchwaha Rajputs. One has to take the elephant ride through the mud area between the forests in order to reach the Amber fort. The next destination we will cover is the Nahargarh Fort, which is among one of the three forts built by Maharaja Jai Sawai Singh. Near to the Nahargarh fort lies the Jaigarh Fort popular for the series of the water reservoirs. After lunch we will make a visit to the Hawa Mahal built by Maharaja Sawai Singh in 1799. In the evening we will have plenty of time to explore the local market areas. Bapu market and Johra market are the most popular markets in Jaipur, known for the variety of products like the Jaipuri saris, jutis, silver jewelery, handicraft items, stones etc. After that we will get back to the hotel and catch up the long sleep after the day long excursion.
Day 5 : Jaipur - Ranthambore
Next morning get up early in the morning and prepare yourself for the sightseeing tour to the Ranthambore National Park. It is said to be the best place in the world for the tiger viewing. Here you get the opportunity to enjoy number of adventure activities like Elephant safari, birding, tiger trailing and trekking. The park was established in the year 1955 as Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary and was declared as the Project Tiger Reserves in the year 1973. The major attractions found in the park include leopard, tiger, nilgai, chital and gaur.
In the evening we will involve in the small sightseeing exploration of the park. Than we will take the open jeep jeep safari accompanied by the expert forest officials. To douse our day long tiredness we will take the overnight rest at the forest resort after the refreshing shower.
Day 6 : Ranthambore
Next morning before breakfast we will take elephant safari, that will let you aware of the jungle milieu better. Today we will go deep inside the forest and take some memorable photographs worth recording your nostalgia. Spotting a tiger while taking the elephant safari is something the wildlife enthusiasts carve for. The trill and adventure of tiger trailing will keep you engage for the longer time. After that we will return to the resort for the breakfast and will freshen up. Later we will visit the Ranthambore Fort, founded in the year 944 by the Chauhan Rajputs. After the defeat of the Chauhan king Prithviraj III by Muhammad of Ghori in the year 1192. The evening will be full of entertainment. The folk dances performed by the local dancers will please you immensely. If you want the local women will be happy teaching you to cook some of the popular dishes of Rajasthan. Day 7 : Ranthambore – Bharatpur
The sojourn to the Bharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary will begin on the 7th day of the tour. As we arrive at the Bharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary in the noon, we will be checking in the Laxman Vilas Palace. After the lunch and the rest is over the 7th day of the tour will bring a jeep safari tour to the park. The open safari tour will just be introductory session of the wildlife tour you are going to enjoy here. Bharatpur is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world founded by the Maharaja Suraj Mal in the year 1733. The whole park boosts of approximately 375 species of birds which includes birds from Indian sub-continent and migrant birds from Siberia, Tibet, China, and Europe. After lunch we will book the elephant safari tour in the forest to spot hundred of species of birds and animals in their natural habitat. Our expert guide will give you the better insight of the park. Recording the melodious singing of the birds and spotting them playing with their young ones will provide you the most pleasurable experience of the lifetime. Day 8 : Bharatpur – Agra via Fatehpur Sikri
Curtailing the sojourn of Bharatpur, next morning we will move to Agra. En route we will visit Fatehpur Sikri (Ghost Capital), the political capital of India's Mughal Empire under Akbar's reign, from the year 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned, ostensibly due to lack of water. We visit Emperor Akbar's Residential complex,Mosque & Tomb of Salim Chisti. After reaching Agra, we will have the opportunity to visit the seventh wonder of the world – Taj Mahal. The mere glance of the unique architectural beauty of Taj Mahal will leave you throughly bewitched. As soon we are done with the sightseeing at Taj Mahal we will take halt at the local restaurant for the overnight stay.
Day 9 : Agra – Umaria (Overnight Train)
On the 9th day of the tour we will get up early in the morning and get ready for the sightseeing tour of the city. We will, start with the Agra Fort, located on the bank of river Yamuna. The Fort can be more accurately described as a walled palatial city. It was built from red sandstone, often inlaid with white marble & intricate decorations. Than we will move to the Itmad -ud-daula's Tomb that belongs to teh father of Ghias-ud-din Beg. The inlay designs and carvings of the tomb are no less than the Taj Mahal. In the later half of the day we will also visit Jahangir Mahal and Chisti's Tomb. In the evening we will take the overnight train to Umaria.
Day 10 : Umaria – Bandhavgarh National Park
Next morning we will drive to Umaria and soon after that will leave for the Bandhavgarh National Park, located in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. We will check in at the Tiger's Den Resort. After rest we will book the jeep safari in the park. A forest department guide will always there with you on these jeep trips taken inside the park, for the purpose of safety. Day 11 : Bandhavgarh National Park
Today we will take an elephant safari in the jungle, a most memorable experience. Elephant safaris are mostly organized here during the morning time, that is the best time for spotting the tigers. We will also enjoy the wildlife photography inside the park from the elephant back. Later on we will explore the Bandhavgarh forts and caves. There are 39 caves in the Bandhavgarh National Park. The oldest cave is from 1st century. Several caves carry inscriptions in Brahmi script & some caves have embossed figure such as those of tiger, pig, elephant & horseman. Badi Gufa, the largest cave, has broad entrance, nine small rooms & several pillars. It has been dated back to the 10th century. The cave appears to be primitive lacking the elaborate statues & carvings seen in the caves of Buddhist period. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 12 : Bandhavgarh National Park
On the 12th day of the tour we will again indulge ourself in the jeep safari tour inside the park. Early morning tour sitting in the open safari strolling in the park will bring a pack of fascination. It gives you the opportunity to easily click the photographs of animals like leopard, sambhar, lion, striped hyena, tiger and many more. The later part of the day will bring activities of bird watching. Keep a look out for browned fantails, steppe eagles, green pigeons, white rumped shama, Grey Malabar horn bills etc. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 13 : Bandhavgarh – Kanha National Park
We will set set foot at the Kanha National Park on the 13th day of the tour. It is 265 km away from the Bandhavgarh National Park and takes almost seven hours to reach there. In the 1930s, the Kanha area was divided into two sanctuaries, Hallon & Banjar. It was created in the year 1955. Today we will take a small trip inside the park and discover its attractive flora and fauna. We will interact with the tribal inhabited here. There are huge plateaus in the park that are thickly covered with Bija, Haldu, Dhaora trees. In the later half of the day we will take the nature walk to witness the unique beauty of the park. After dinner, overnight at the resort.
Day 14 : Kanha National Park
The small visit to the Kanha National Park will come in its full circle on the 14th day of the tour. We will start with getting up early in the morning and setting out to take elephant safari in the jungle. The elephant safari will give you the chance to view tigers and hundred of rare species of birds. The major wildlife attractions at the Kanha National Park includes Royal Bengal Tigers, Leopards, Dholes, Indian Bisons, Sambar, Chital, Barasingha, Barking deer, Black buck, Nilgai, Monkeys, Mongoose, Mouse Deer, Sloth Bear, Indian Peafowl, Partridges, Green Pigeons and many more. Overnight at the resort.
Day 15 : Kanha National Park
15th day of the tour is fully booked for the jeep safari to fully join the Indian wildlife on this tour. Of you love photography, than the park offers some of the some of the bewitching views which are worth clicking. The full day sightseeing in the National park, will leave you nothing but speechless and peacefulness. While taking the jeep safari you will be passing through the bewildering beauty of the forest witnessing the wildlife attractions and exotic flora of the park. You will be introduced to some of the rare and endangered species of the plants and animals that are not found anywhere else. After the day long jeep safari, we will arranging bonfire and barbecue. After having dinner altogether, we will catch up the sleep at the resort.
Day 16 : Kanha – Nagpur- Mumbai
Today we will take the short leisure walk around the resort and after breakfast we will drive to Nagpur to board flight to Mumbai. Our representative will be there to greet you and take you to the hotel that is booked for you in advance. You will be feeling horribly tired with the tight schedule of your journey. So you will have ample time to rest and enjoy leisure to increase all your dog tiredness. We will be taking the short sightseeing tour in the evening and return back to the hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 17 : Mumbai
Today we take the sightseeing tour of the dream city – Mumbai. We will start with the Gateway of India, the entrance of the port of Mumbai. It was built to commemorate the visit of King George V in 1911. Across the road we visit Prince Wales Museum, built in a confluence of Gothic & Moorish styles. It boasts a collection of ancient Indus Valley artifacts dating 2000 BC, plus some priceless Tibetan & Nepali Art. Later we take the boat cruise from Gateway of India to visit Elephanta Caves, houses rock cut temples dating back to 5th century CE. It was named by the Portuguese, after the statue of an elephant near the landing area of the island. We also drive through the Marine Drive, which runs along the shore of the Arabian Sea from Nariman Point past Chowpatty Beach to the foot of Malabar Hill. In the evening we take a flight for onwardAfter having dinner altogether, we will catch up the sleep at the resort. destination.
