Next Prius to be Built in the United States;

The hybrid vehicle market is going to be worth checking out for many buyers in the next few years. There are several new hybrid vehicle models such as the new Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid that will be available at a discount during VW Specials along with other Volkswagen models. Even other types of vehicles have been positively affected by the advent of hybrids due to the fact that hybrids have put more pressure on these vehicles to be fuel efficient. The Ford F-150 is certainly no hybrid vehicle, but even models like this are being made with better fuel efficiency in order to keep up in competition with the efficiency of hybrids and other well designed large vehicles.

It is unclear whether brands like Mazda and Honda who sells vehicles at San Jose Mazda Dealers and Hyundai will be adding more hybrid vehicles to their lineup, however several automakers like Toyota, Ford, Nissan, and GM have made it clear that they will be competing in this market.

News has come out that Toyota will be building its fourth-generation Prius in the United States but not for a long time. The fourth-generation Prius will not be built until 2016 because of factory delays and other preparations. The closing of the NUMMI plant by GM caused the Prius to be delayed.

Also, Toyota expected the United States economy to take some time to rebound. It is surprising that Toyota will wait a whole six years to build their new Prius model. One has to wonder whether this is a sign that the economy might be in for the long haul in terms of a recovery.

Other automakers like Tesla have decided to ramp up or release their own models in 2012 instead of 2016. It is estimated that the hybrid auto market will increase every year, however Toyota knows better than anyone what the hybrid auto market is like since the company has by far the most experience with producing and selling hybrid vehicles.
