What girl doesn’t dream of that fairy tale wedding with birds flying overhead, bells ringing and cheering crowds everywhere while you ride off in a beautiful carriage with your wonderful Prince Charming. (Cue the romantic music.) Disney makes it all look so easy, don’t they.
But the effort behind that fairy tale wedding is much more involved than giggles and songs. It takes planning and skill, patience and luck and, of course, money to create that magic. It also takes a lot of time and attention to detail and many hours stressing that it won’t be as perfect as you want it to be. aaah!
As people try to stretch their hard-earned dollars to create the wedding of their dreams, they are cutting back on many things they might not have a few years ago. Often that means taking on the planning of your wedding yourself while you hold down a full-time job or further your education. You might even have children to take care of as you do all of this. Talk about multi-tasking!
Bliss by Sam to the rescue! They have devised a way to save your money and your sanity by creating what they call Rachel’s Do-It-Yourself Wedding Planning Bootcamp. Bliss by Sam is a local wedding and event planning agency with huge talent and an eye to helping others achieve their wedding dreams. I’ve worked with them many times over the years and have always been impressed with their personalities and their work. And now they’ve come up with this idea. I am impressed again.
Here are some of the topics they’ll cover at the Bootcamp (workshop);
- the budget
- the guest list
- location selection
- timelines
- etiquette
- event design
- choosing wedding professionals who are right for you
- how to save time and money and produce great results
- how to deal with difficult family or friends
All the workshop materials will go home with you to use in your own planning. With a delicious lunch and a tour of The Carolina Inn included, you’ve got the makings for a very productive day. An added bonus is that they have put this all together for a VERY reasonable cost to you. You owe it to yourself to check it out.
