Chevy Volt in China!

Rocky Mount Ford Dealer is a long way from China, but that is where the new release of the highly anticipated Chevy Volt is taking place.  General Motors is releasing the Chevy Volt primarily in the United States, and a few global markets have been selected to receive the fuel efficient vehicle as well.  China is a large segment of the auto market, and they need high fuel efficiency vehicles just like any other urban region.  Chattanooga Nissan Dealers also sell a wide variety of fuel efficient vehicles, like the popular Nissan Sentra.

Similar to the American government, China has agreed to help subsidize the initial high costs of ownership to increase popularity of the electric car market in their country.  They plan on investing about $14.7 billion over the next ten years.  As of right now, the price of the Chevy Volt in China has not been released yet.  You can find the prices of vehicles by going to Fort Worth Dodge Chrysler Dealers or visiting dealership websites.  Currently, there are great deals on outgoing 2010 inventory, but the Volt is an all new model.  At the World Expo 2010 held in Shanghai this year, General Motors brought two of the electric vehicles to be part of the fleet used to transport the VIP in attendance.

In the United States, the 2011 Chevrolet Volt will cost you a minimum of $40,280.  China hopes to keep the price of the Volt competitive in their market to increase sales and popularity.  Some things about the Volt that consumers and auto experts hope to see quick improvement on, especially when you consider the price, are: overall size, the fact that there are only four seat belts when several small cars have five, and the backseat being rather uncomfortable and unaccommodating.  Besides that, being able to drive 300 miles on a single charge is quite impressive.

Volt Continues to Receive Republican Criticism;

The Chevy Volt which will debut later in 2010 has received quite a bit of criticism from Republican pundits like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. They have left other automakers like Volkswagen along for now, whose models can be found at a local VW Dealer. There have been a string of editorials in newspapers like the Chicago Tribune and Tucson citizen after Rush Limbaugh made some negative comments about Chevy's latest plug-in hybrid vehicle. There were no complaints about the Ford F-150 which can be found at a F-150 Inventory, but the Chevy Volt has received criticism for being overpriced and having a limited electric range.

Many automakers like Acura and Volkswagen are looking to also introduce their own new hybrid or electric vehicle models. Some of the latest fuel efficient Acura models can be purchased from a Trenton Acura dealership. The Volt has received most of its criticism for its starting price of $41,000. However with government tax incentives, the price drops down to $33,500 which is more reasonable for the new electric vehicle.

Some have called it a "plaything for the rich" but the vehicle after incentives is not nearly as high priced as many of the luxury vehicle offerings on the market at the moment. If some of these bloggers really want to go after vehicle manufacturers for offering high priced vehicles, they should consider criticizing Mercedes-Benz or other luxury vehicle makers who start off some of their mid-range vehicles at $50,000. The Volt does offer much for its price, particularly several included technology features and a dual electric and gasoline engine with a 340 mile range.

Still, if the Volt is half as good as what some analysts expect it to be, it will be worth the high price. With a large range and a little extra room over the Prius, the Volt will appeal to many different buyers.

Leno not so hot on the Chevy Volt

Jay Leno is not very excited about the Chevy Volt, which will be Chevy's upcoming hybrid model that is a major talking point for several automobile analysts. Mazda Cars Sarasota dealers sell Mazda models of which there is one competing hybrid vehicle and potentially more to come. Volkswagen has also made an announcement that they will be producing several vehicles that feature hybrid or electric engines in the upcoming years and will be bought during VW Dealer Specials. Leno is one of the biggest celebrity car fanatics, and it may be that his opinion has an effect on Chevy Volt sales. Leno said that he does not like the Volt which is a competitor to Acura St. Louis models.

Leno said of the Volt, "If you didn't know, you might think it's a Cobalt or a Camry... I don't think there's a lot of cachet in having the first one. It's meant to be a people mover, not a people impresser." Some might agree with Leno since the Volt is not attempting to become a real visual pleaser but more of a standard bread and butter sedan that Americans can consider more along the lines of a Camry.

The focus and point of GM making the Volt less sporty and more sedan like was probably for the purpose of the model to be more considered as a family model instead of a sports vehicle. Although sports lovers may not enjoy the Volt, it should be noted that the Volt will feature up to 40 miles of driving on solely electric power, a very unique vehicle feature that can not be found on very many sports coupes or other models.

In the future it might turn out that there will be sports vehicles and other models that are electric. The Tesla Roadster is probably the sportiest out of all the electric models, but for now the Volt will do as being a great family sedan and also a somewhat sporty electric-gasoline hybrid.
